Why are my plums misshapen and covered in white mould?

💡 Our Advice
This is caused by a fungal disease called Pocket plum which is closely related to Peach Leaf Curl. As well as distorting the fruit, other symptoms can be swollen or distorted branches. Remove as many infected fruits and branches as possible, spray with Copper mixture from Vitax before leaf fall and again just after petal fall in spring.
