Why are the leaves of my laurel hedge covered in pale blotches?

💡 Our Advice
This is powdery mildew, which can be common in a hot, dry summer. You can spray affected growth with Fungus Fighter Plus from Bayer or Rosegarde from Vitax. This mildew often indicates that plants are not getting enough moisture, so keep it well watered and (if possible) mulch around the base to keep the roots cool.
