Why are the flower stems on my Peony going brown and rotting?

💡 Our Advice
This is a fungal disease called Peony wilt, a form of Botrytis or grey mould. Remove any infected parts of the plant, rake up any dead or dying leaves and dispose of them (NOT in the compost bin). Spraying the plant and surrounding soil with Copper Mixture from Vitax or Uncle Tom's Rose Tonic, may also help to give some control.
