How do I stop my Christmas tree shedding its needles this year?

💡 Our Advice
A cut tree without roots or a bare-root tree with no soil needs its base soaking in a bucket of water for a day. Plant it firmly in a large pot full of moist sand or garden soil. Water every 3-4 days to stop it drying out. As a general rule, look after your tree as if it was a houseplant.
