How do I stop my Christmas tree shedding needles this year?

💡 Our Advice
For a cut tree without roots or a bare-root tree with no soil, stand the base of the tree in a bucket of water for 2-3 days. Then plant it in a large pot full of moist sand or compost. Water every 3-4 days to stop it drying out. As a general rule, treat it like a houseplant.
