What causes brown spots inside my apples?

Our Advice:

This is a mineral deficiency called bitter pit, caused by a lack of calcium. Apply Garden Lime from J Arthur Bowers under the tree in early spring. Alternatively, water around the tree with a solution of calcium nitrate (Chempak Calcium Multi-action from Thompson & Morgan).
