How do I cure brown spots in my Bramley apples?

Our Advice:

This is a mineral deficiency called bitter pit, caused by a lack of calcium. You can apply J Arthur Bowers Garden Lime from Westland under the tree in early spring or apply foliar sprays of calcium nitrate as Calcium Multi-action from Thompson & Morgan from mid-June to mid-September to increase calcium levels.
