When can I start harvesting my newly-planted rhubarb crown?

Our Advice:

The plant needs to establish a strong crown and good root system before it can start cropping well, so it's best to leave it for a year before you start harvesting from it. The leaves are the “factory” of the plant, making food to build up the crown, so let the them do their work or the plant will longer to establish.
