When is the best time to cut back a pampas grass?

Our Advice:

Ideally, in late winter or early spring before the new growth starts. Start by cutting down any old, flowered stems and remove any dead or damaged foliage at the bases. Always wear gloves when you handle this plant, because the leaves have serrated edges that may cause cuts.
