Mid March is ideal for most roses. If you prune too early the frost can penetrate the pruning cuts and new growth can get frost damaged. Prune, feed with Miracle-Gro rose fertiliser and spray against blackspot with Systhane Fungus Fighter from Bayer to kill overwintering spores.
