When should I prune a Mexican orange blossom bush?

💡 Our Advice
The best time to prune a Choisya ternata is just after flowering in the spring, as the plant starts its main surge of growth for the season. It will respond well to severe pruning but always prune to a dormant bud to reduce the risk of the stems dying back to the ground. The new shoots can be badly damaged by slugs and late frost.
