Which are the best rose hips for making jam?

Our Advice:

Although nearly all roses produce hips that can be used for jams and other preserves, the tastiest for eating purposes come from the species Rosa rugosa. The hips have a high vitamin C content and the flavour is described as fruity and spicy, much like the cranberry.
