Poor seed quality: The seeds may be old or damaged, which can result in low germination rates. In this case, it is best to purchase fresh seeds from a reputable supplier.
Unsuitable growing conditions: Pansies need a temperature of around 15-20°C to germinate, so if the temperature is too low or too high, the seedlings may fail to emerge. Additionally, if the soil is too dry or too wet, this can also hinder germination. Make sure the soil is moist but not waterlogged and that the seeds are planted at the right depth.
Why are my pansies not growing well in the soil? Lack of light: Pansy seeds need some light to germinate, so if they are buried too deeply or covered with soil, they may not be receiving enough light. Try lightly covering the seeds with a thin layer of vermiculite instead of soil.
