Why are the flowers on my plum tree shrivelled and brown?

Our Advice:

This fungal disease is blossom wilt which also causes brown rot at harvest time. Spray your tree just before the flowers open and again 14 days later. Trim off any dead or dying shoots and remove any fruits showing signs of brown rot.
