Why did some of the blossom on my apple trees wilt and die?

💡 Our Advice
This is blossom wilt, a fungus that also causes brown rot of fruit. Spores overwinter on dormant buds and infect flowers as they open. Spray with Fungus Fighter Plus Concentrate from Westland or Systhane Fungus fighter from Bayer before the flowers open next year.
