Why did the leaves on my cherry tree turn red and drop early?

💡 Our Advice
This condition is called peach leaf curl, a fungal disease that could eventually kill your tree. The best way to control it is to cut off and burn any badly affected leaves and then spray the rest of the plant with Copper Mixture from Vitax. Spray just before leaf fall and then again next spring either just before flowering or after petal fall.
