Why do my raspberry canes have mottled leaves and stunted growth?

💡 Our Advice
This sounds like virus, which is usually carried by greenfly. There is no cure so you will have to dig up and burn the old plants and start with new, bought canes. Varieties like Joan J and Malling Minerva are very popular at the moment.
