Why have my naturalised bulbs stopped flowering?

The most likely reason for long-established bulbs to stop flowering is overcrowding. Competition for space creates stress, so new bulbs forming are weaker and smaller. This problem can be overcome by lifting the bulbs, dividing the clumps and replanting them.
