Is there a blue rose?

Our Advice:

There are no naturally blue roses currently in existence. This is because the pigment that makes flowers blue, delphinidin, does not occur in the rose family. Roses with blue in their names such as 'Blue Moon' and 'Mr Bluebird' etc. are actually violet, lavender or mauve.
