If I remove a large fungus bracket on my tree, will it cure it?

💡 Our Advice
Removing the bracket may help check the spread of the fungus for a while, and should stop it producing spores to infect nearby plants. Realistically by this stage there is little that can be done to prevent the fungus from killing the tree. For the best advice contact a qualified tree surgeon, (preferably member of the Arboricultural Association).
