The leaves of my runner beans developed and turned yellow, why?

💡 Our Advice
This is a bacterial disease called halo blight; always worse in wet weather because it is spread by water splashes. Spray with Copper Mixture from Vitax or Uncle Tom's Rose Tonic as soon as the spots are noticed. This disease is often seed-borne and worse with saved seed. The variety 'Red Rum' has a high tolerance to this disease.
