Why does my peony produce lots of leaves but no flowers?

💡 Our Advice
Herbaceous peonies need to be in full sun for as long a season as possible. The most common mistake is too plant them too deeply. You should always be able to see some of the tuberous rootstock on the surface of the soil. You could try digging up your plant in the autumn and replanting it (shallowly) in a more sunny position.
