Can begonias be grown in full sun?

💡 Our Advice
Most begonias prefer bright, indirect light and can't tolerate direct sunlight, which can scorch their leaves. However, some begonias, such as the tuberous and the rex begonias, can handle full sun if they are provided with adequate moisture and protection from the hottest rays of the sun. It's important to acclimate the plants gradually to the sun to prevent sunburn, and to keep the soil consistently moist.
