What is causing black spots on the leaves of my Christmas rose?

💡 Our Advice
This is hellebore leaf spot, a fungus similar to grey mould that is spread by water splashes. Trim off affected leaves and as new leaves appear, spray with Systhane Fungus Fighter from Bayer or Fungus Clear Ultra from Scott's to keep them free from infection.
