When is the best time to prune a Laurel hedge?

💡 Our Advice
That would be mid to late spring when the plants go through their main growth surge. After you have pruned the hedge we suggest you feed it with a general fertiliser such as Growmore, Vitax Q4 or pelleted chicken manure at about 100 grams per metre of hedge, and water it in. A second or third trim may be needed before late-summer.
