Can I grow Agapanthus plants from seed?

💡 Our Advice
Yes, as soon as the seed capsules have turned brown, collect them and remove the black seeds and sow immediately into trays of John Innes seed compost. Place the trays in a cold frame or sheltered spot in the garden. Cover the compost with a layer of grit to deter slugs. It will take 3-4 years before your seedlings start to flower.
