Can Agapanthus be grown from seed?

💡 Our Advice
Yes, as soon as the seed capsules have turned brown, remove the black seeds and sow immediately into trays of John Innes seed compost. Place the trays in a cold frame or sheltered spot in the garden. Cover the compost with a layer of grit to deter slugs. It will take 3-4 years before your seedlings start to flower.
