What causes courgettes to rot from the flower end?

💡 Our Advice
This is caused by grey mould fungus enters the flower as it starts to die and spreads into developing fruits causing them to rot. Snap off the flowers as they start to close after pollination and reduce humidity by only watering early in the day. You can also spray the plants and surrounding soil/compost with Copper Mixture from Vitax.
