Can I grow daylilies from seed?

Our Advice:

Yes, sow the seeds next spring in a peat-based multi-purpose compost. Place in a greenhouse or on a windowsill with good light at a temperature of about 18c. The young plants should flower within 2 years, but the colours may be different to their parents.
