Can dahlias be grown in containers?

Our Advice:

Yes, dahlias can be grown in containers, but they will require more frequent watering and fertilization than those grown in the ground. Choose a large container with good drainage, and fill it with a well-draining potting mix. Place the container in a sunny location, and water and fertilise regularly.
