What are the red beetles eating my snakesheads?

Our Advice:

These are lily beetles and they will attack Fritillarias as well as lillies as they are in the same family. Spray with Plant Rescue Bug Killer for Ornamentals (Westland) or Bug Clear Ultra (Scott's) as soon as you see the first signs of damage. Both of these products give protection for several weeks.
