What are the white blobs on my hydrangea stems?

💡 Our Advice
This is a type of scale insect, which sucks sap from the stems and leaves. High populations can severely weaken your plant. We suggest you control this pest with spray of Sprayday 'GreenflyKiller' from SBM/Bayer, or Resolva Bug Killer from Westland.
