When can I divide a large clump of hellebores?

💡 Our Advice
The best time to divide them is in spring after the flowers have faded. Remove the outer sections of the clump (the youngest parts) with a growth bud and a section of root for replanting. Discard the oldest woody sections from the centre of the clump. Water well after planting to settle the soil.
