When should I divide a clump of Agapanthus?

💡 Our Advice
Commonly called African blue lily, the best time to divide Agapanthus is in spring. Discard any old woody or rotten parts of the clumps, keeping young vigourous sections which have both leaves and a strong root system. Avoid planting the divisions too deeply or they will produce plenty of leaves but few flowers.
