How do I prevent my geraniums from getting too tall?

💡 Our Advice
If your geraniums are getting too tall, you can pinch back the stem tips to encourage bushier growth. You can also cut back the entire plant by up to one-third in early summer to encourage a more compact habit. Make sure your geraniums are getting enough sunlight, as a lack of sunlight can cause them to grow tall and leggy.
