When is the best time for re-potting Opuntia cactus plant?

💡 Our Advice
Cacti will respond well to re-potting, if it is done at the right timer, which is the spring when the new growth starts. Only use a pot which is slightly larger than the existing one. These plants must have a free-draining compost, 2 parts John Innes No 2 compost plus 1 part grit is ideal. Make sure you handle spiny cacti with a loop of folded newspaper.
