Why are there purple-brown spots on the leaves of my olive tree?

💡 Our Advice
This is a relatively new fungal disease in the UK called olive scab. It is much worse in humid conditions and is often spread by rain splashes. The infected leaves on your tree will gradually turn yellow and fall off. Pick up all fallen leaves and dispose of them (to get rid of the spores). Next spring start spraying the tree with Copper Mixture from Vitax to kill any spores which land on the leaves.
