Why do my white hydrangea flowers always turn green?

💡 Our Advice
The largest parts of the so-called flower on a hydrangea plant are actually bracts (modified leaves). Many hydrangeas prefer dappled shade but if it is too dark, these white bracts start to act like leaves and gradually turn green.
